External and concentric — the cylinder that works closest to the heat.

A clutch slave cylinder turns hydraulic pressure back into the linear movement that releases the clutch. Disben supplies external and concentric types in aluminium or cast iron, pre-assembled with the bleed screw, for DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluid. Seals are EPDM; units for mineral-oil systems are quoted only after the fluid is confirmed.
| Type | External or concentric slave cylinder |

| Body material | Aluminium / cast iron |
| Bleed screw | Pre-assembled |
| Fluid | DOT 3 / DOT 4 |
| Best for | Manual transmission car, LCV, truck |
A clutch slave works next to the gearbox, in the hottest and dirtiest corner of the driveline, and it cycles with every gear change. That duty cycle is what separates a part that lasts from one that comes back in six months.
External slaves sit outside the bellhousing and are a ten-minute job. Concentric units sit on the input shaft and ship pre-assembled with the release bearing.
Cups that harden in heat start by making the pedal slow to return, long before they leak. EPDM for DOT 3 and DOT 4 is the compound that survives that cycle.
Cast iron or aluminium, bore 19–28.6 mm across the line. On a concentric unit the body and bearing are one assembly, so the part number covers both.
The concentric version is the one that generates claims, because the bearing and the cylinder fail together and nobody can tell which went first. Pre-assembly is checked as one unit.
We do not own production lines. Each reference is placed with an audited factory, and at least three sources are compared before quoting.
Every unit held at 1.5× working pressure, recorded per batch. On a concentric assembly the test covers the cylinder, not the bearing.
Concentric units are checked as a complete assembly before packing, so the bearing and the cylinder cannot arrive as two parts of different batches.
Pre-production audit, during-production monitoring and an AQL pre-shipment check with photographs; third-party inspection on request.
The slave cylinder does the work at the gearbox end — external on older transmissions, concentric on many recent ones. Bore range 19–28.6 mm; concentric units ship pre-assembled with the release bearing, so there is nothing to press in at the workshop.
Minimum per model, mixed models allowed in one order.
Dispatch for references already held in stock.
Production for a reference that has to be made.
One inquiry list answered as one quotation, within a day.
Cross-referenced against TRW, LPR, Metelli and A.B.S. numbers. A quotation names every reference a part number covers, so your counter can check it against stock before you commit.

A concentric unit is the hardest part to counterfeit convincingly, which makes the label and the batch record worth more here than on any other line we supply.
Send the number off the old unit — or a list, or a photo of it. You get the equivalent part number, the references it covers, the price per volume tier and the lead time, within 24 working hours.
One sourcing desk for the whole hydraulic range, so a mixed container can carry all five.
Tandem and single-circuit units, pressure tested
Matched left and right pairs for drum axles
Integrated or remote reservoir, EPDM seals
Cups, seals, pistons and dust boots by bore
Part numbers currently held in this line, with the OE references each one covers. Send a list and we quote against it — or ask about a number that is not listed here.
